Rockstar Games has announced that it is shutting down Max Payne 3's online services come September 16. Regardless, the attempts should bring some more attention to Max Payne 3 itself, which is nice since the game's online services are actually being shut down in the relatively near future. It's possible that the previous title holder will take another shot at it, or maybe someone else will throw their hat in the ring. Summit1g has been attempting Max Payne 3 speedruns where he doesn't use glitches, can get any percent completion in the game, and can skip cut-scenes. Now Summit1g has experienced yet another major streaming accomplishment, managing to beat the Max Payne 3 speedrun world record by six seconds while live on stream. Summit1g is one of the world's most popular Twitch streamers, at one point overtaking Ninja in Twitch subscriptions by playing Sea of Thieves.
